Then Comes Seduction is the second book in a series of four covering the lives and loves of the four Huxtable siblings. Katherine Huxtable is the second youngest sibling. Her brother, Stephen, the Earl of Merton, is younger. The Huxtable siblings grew up in a loving family, although their parents died when they were young and the oldest sibling, Margaret, raised the younger ones. They lived in a small village, not knowing at the time that Stephen would be the next Earl of Merton. Time has passed and Stephen has taken up the position of his entitlement, along with his sisters being given opportunities to leave rural England and become part of the London society.

Jasper Finley, who is Baron Montford, is not a man society parents would want their daughters to associate with or marry. He is a debauched womanizer of the first order.

The book begins in Jasper’s London townhouse library. The opening paragraphs draw you in with humor as you witness Jasper’s mind wrestle with the fact that his clock has always been four minutes slow. Closely on the heels follows the wager of inebriated friends. The wager? Jasper must seduce the innocent Katherine Huxtable within a fortnight. Jasper is never one to back down from a wager.

Jasper’s romantic abilities have never been thwarted–until now. Katherine is more than he bargained for and in more ways than one. Their sparring continues on until a foe arrives and throws both of them off their axis. Now the worst has happened: They must marry or her reputation will be ruined and both their families will suffer. What had once been a game is now serious and involves nothing less than their future happiness and their hearts.

Then Comes Seduction stands alone and does not require reading the first book in the series, First Comes Marriage, although some may wish to read the books in order. The next two books in the series will follow quickly. At Last Comes Love is due out on April 28, 2009 and Seducing an Angel will be available on May 19, 2009.
