People who have passed through the author's life have inspired both prose and poetry. She seems to have been affected by many: Family members, friends, and acquaintances.

Julie Marie is a sensitive soul who feels the need to examine different aspects of her life. While some of her poetry is bare bones, it touches at the heart of her feelings for people.

The vignettes of her life that are interspersed with the poetry are mostly depressing and dark. Spiritualism is touched on without being fully addressed, and yet, a sweetness of spirit comes through.

While not a profound look at all of life, there are a few pages where we feel a bit wistful for people who have passed through our lives deserving of more acknowledgment.

At less than a hundred pages, the book is a quick, simple read.

Armchair Interviews says: This poetry may not be for every poetry lover.
