Salley Mavor's Felt Wee Folks is absolutely stunning! If you enjoy crafts, and dolls are high on your list of likes, this is the book for you. And it is a craft project you can enjoy with your children or grandchildren.

The book includes 18 Wee Folk projects of dolls, pins, purses, checkbook covers, pillows and scenic backdrops. It includes applique', embroidery, thread wrapping and painting techniques.

The directions are clear and concise but there are photographs and pattern drawings for further help. The color photographs are worth the price of the book. Salley Mavor is truly an artist willing to share her art with everyone.

While I love the dolls and intend to make some with my granddaughter, the pins are calling to me. I think they could also make wonderful refrigerator magnets. My favorite is Fairy on Leaf. I'm definitely making that one.

Armchair Interviews says: Let you imagination run wild and create your own world of storybook characters, fairies or friends fresh from your imagination. When you're done, create a purse, pin or whatever else you can think of. Felt Wee Folk is a beginning. The book guides and directs and then you can venture out on your own. We love this book.
